The BBC isn't funny anymore, now they've shoved another establishment challenging show out the door!

Image
The BBC Isn't funny anymore! Who's laughing now. Is it time we all collectively showed them the door in return, or should we stop the rot within? The BBC isn't funny anymore is it! The Tories running it (check out who has got all the top jobs) have now cancelled all the good more so called "left wing" satirical comedy. Get Tories out of top positions in the BBC. Only retracted and restored him to Match Of The Day after all their football pundits and commentators pulled out in solidarity and the BBC were to be left with no football coverage. Is this the new BBC logo? This is what the BBC has been up to under their Tory infilitrated top management. *Tried to "cancel" Gary Lineker when he spoke against proposed government treatments of refugees. However allowed Alan Sugar to post a photoshopped image of Jeremy Corbyn standing alongside Adolf Hitler. Newsnight also included a photoshopped Jeremy Corbyn all colourised in red standing somewhere that was mean...

Great! TV to come to the rescue of Diagnosis Murder fans.

Image
You may have noticed that since the loss of the CBS Justice & CBS Action channels in Summer 2022 (which became Legend & RealityXtra) the replacement branded channels ceased to air reruns of Dick Van Dyke's murder mystery investigation series "Diagnosis Murder" so it has therefore not been broadcast on UK TV since then, but Great! TV has been airing "Murder, She Wrote" pretty heavily (it's all they've got on all Sunday!) . They have now added "Diagnosis Murder" to their portfolio of rights to classic shows, and have begun airing it from Season 1 Monday 23rd January at 3pm & 4pm.  It seems fairly likely that they will also broadcast it in blocks like MSW but for now it appears weekdays in double bills at 3pm & 4pm.  Diagnosis Murder ran from 1993-2001 over 8 seasons and there are also several feature length "TV movies" including the pilot from 1992 "A Diagnosis Of Murder" and 2 last films from  2002 " A To...

March 2023

10 March Gary Lineker, this is most likely proof that the BBC has indeed been infiltrated by the Tories in some key positions given they are trying hard not to allow him to put out his own opinion. Alan Shearer and Ian Wright have said they won't appear on tomorrow's Match of The Day in solidarity with Gary Lineker. https://news.sky.com/story/gary-lineker-stepping-back-from-role-as-match-of-the-day-presenter-12830108 Happy 40th and goodbye! The love in with streaming over linear TV continues as ITV decides to axe the CITV Channel in favour of there just being a kids TV section on the streaming/catch up service ITVX called imaginatively enough ITVX Kids, you might wonder here why they didn't honour the heritage of the CITV brand by calling the section that instead.   CITV has existed as a full channel since 2006 and it was known before that as the afternoon block of programmes after school on the main ITV. Any hope of eventually getting CITV HD has of course gone now!  The...

Digital Spy Forums have given me the "Pat Sharp" treatment.

Image
Whoever it is that moderates the Digital Spy Forums (which I recently got reenacted again in 2022 after closing my account on principle that they removed the General Discussion forums (ludicrous and really reduces discussion) have simialrly given me the "Pat Sharp" treatment when I commented on a Greatest Hits Radio discussion thread in support of him rather than his "woke" treatment. I'd have been banned for only 7 days but am so fed up of this sort of "woke" censorship that I've told them they can make it 7777 days and to stick the forums. The post Post that triggered the warning:> Now read that they've got rid of Pat Sharp over virtually nothing, they firmly conform to this woke culture where one little incident will see a career ruined. It's amazing to think that past generations were forced to go to actual war and in this century some words that are said are now what can have a devastating impact on an individual. Deal Or No Deal to relaunch on ITV

Image
Deal or No Deal to be revived on ITV later in 2023. The hit game show Deal Or No Deal looks set to make a return on itv1 according to this news article with game show host Stephen Mulhern, the hit show which was heavily based on probability and created a scenario in which participants could ultimately win anything from 1p to £250,000 was launched on Channel 4 back in 2005 and with a few format tweaks finally left the channel in 2014. It became Channel 4's biggest ever hit in daytime TV and effectively relaunched the career of its presenter Noel Edmonds who had been fading somewhat from the limelight in the Noughties as his biggest fame previously came from the Saturday night BBC One show "Noel's House Party" during the 90s and his success before that on BBC Radio 1.  Noel attributed the new success in 2005 due to his dabbling in something called Cosmic Ordering. Noel won't be on board for the reboot on ITV however stepping aside for Stephen Mulhern. Since the end ...

Royal Mail Strike - Chester (Nov 2022)

Image
30th November 2022 - Postal workers on Strike, Sealand Road near Chester. Most industries seemed to go on strike during 2022, wages are simply not keeping up with the so called cost of living crisis, but employment conditions and contracts have been getting worse too, the CWU (Communications Workers Union) is fighting to improve those as much as it is to raise wages, here about this in an interview I got at the picket line outside the Sealand Road distribution centre, which is on the outskirts of Chester & Blacon of course and almost a stone's throw from Chester City's Deva Stadium ground.  Interview here -  https://michaelfarrieinterviews.wordpress.com/2022/11/30/postal-workers-on-picket-line-in-chester/ The fire in a rotary bin seemed as if it might be hot enough to forge steel.
